It is a connection to the classroom that I won't give up. Plus, now I will be able to see a much wider range of needs in my school and create to help fill them.
I am thrilled to hear that you are returning to the upper grades- LOVE THE UPPER GRADERS!
Have a wonderful weekend, YOU ROCK! :)Mr. Hugheshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06426578721128357285noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-599666081241759888.post-3363078328337446522015-07-18T15:37:50.723-06:002015-07-18T15:37:50.723-06:00Congrats! It was a change, but one that I loved! I am so excited for you on this journey! I cannot wait to see what you blog about in your new position! Life has a way of throwing us curve balls, so I'm not returning this fall. BUT with good reason - I had a baby boy! He's so amazing and wonderful that I just couldn't handle being away from him 50ish hours a week. Oh, and I totally understand what you mean about the pay! There were teachers in our district that made more than me as admin (although they've been here for MANY years and have completely earned that pay). But I'll stop with this comment now as I'm rambling and have used far too many exclamation marks. Good luck with the new role!
~Heather aka HoJo~HoJohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17185490202086864410noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-599666081241759888.post-50405440066263010852015-07-18T09:59:14.940-06:002015-07-18T09:59:14.940-06:00Congrats! But hopefully you'll still be making some of your upper grade activities as I'm going back up to fourth grade and am excited about it. I loved the change of kinder for a couple of years....and they had my heart BUT....I love the relationships you form with the upper grade students because I'm a firm believer that relationships with kids are imperative to if students learn or not. We just got Wonders...a CCSS ELA curriculum so that will be interesting and I guess we're still using Engage NY as our math curriculum....which teachers are really frustrated with. So it'll be a steep learning curve...but I'm ready for the challenge....just hoping you will still be making your awesome units....I've missed them over the last couple years of teaching the littles. Congrats again on your new admin position....I look forward to your new posts from a different perspective....have a great "rest of" your summer!

Stephanie Ann
Sparkling in Fourth Grade

Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
