I was reading on BlogCatalog about someone ranting about people taking their kids to public places and having to listen to them screaming, etc.
The discussion was quite entertaining to read. Having 4 children, and having been a parent that has a screaming little one in a public place, I could see both sides of the arguement. But, in the end, kids are kids. People were saying how they have been in bars where a dad has brought in a 3 yr. old and was getting drunk with him watching. That to me is child abuse. Just like the dad on the local news the other night that locked his 2 year in his SUV so he could go and watch the new BatMan movie. His son nearly died! What is up with that.
Other points that were made included the lack of respect in children (and as a teacher this is a big DING! DING! DING!- About time this was acknowledged). However, it is NOT the teachers job to teach this(although we end up doing it anyway)to the students.
Anyways, I don't want to get started (ok, maybe don't want to finish this) right now!
