Share the Wealth: Teacher-Author Spotlight- The Happy Teacher

Welcome once again to An Educator's Life "Share the Wealth Saturday". This week is the week where we spotlight an amazing teacher-author. I can hardly believe that this is the 17th teacher that we have spot-lighted here on An Educator's Life. CRAZY!

Today is the day AFTER Teacher Appreciation Week. I hope your students/community/school let you know just how amazing you all are! Teaching in today's classroom and schools requires a lot of "extra" baggage and you deserve to be recognized for all you do! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! (In fact, I hope you have had a chance to read the linked posts in the previous posts about some pretty amazing teachers in my 2nd Annual Teacher Appreciation Challenge. If you haven't, check it out AFTER you read about this great teacher.)

Let's get on with the show!

This week, I want to introduce you to The Happy Teacher. This amazing teacher hails from Dallas, Texas- where EVERYTHING is bigger. Ha ha. I can even say that I have BEEN to Texas (Austin) and I loved it.

When I asked her to tell me about herself, she shared the following: "I'm a 28-year old teacher who lives in Dallas, TX. I've taught Kindergarten and 1st grade for the past five years. I recently graduated with my Master's in Curriculum & Instruction. Last year, I accepted a position as an Instructional Coach for my district. My teaching approach is 100% constructivist. I think children should build and create their own knowledge through meaningful and relevant learning experiences.

Here are two of my favorite inspirational quotes for educators:
"Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire." -William Butler Yeats
"Those who can, teach. Those who can't, go into some less significant line of work." -Todd Whitaker

I love literacy work stations because students get to interact with their peers, as well as take ownership of their own learning.  It also gives me an opportunity to work with students in small groups.  I enjoy creating materials to use in my own classroom.  Math activities are my favorite things to create!

I'm married, and my husband and I just welcomed our first son on April 22nd!  We are loving being new parents.  Every second with our little man is very special! "

As you can easily see, she is VERY passionate about students and learning! And her resources reflect that. Just take a peek that the follow resources (which includes a freebie) listed below.

As you can see, this is only a small sample of The Happy Teachers 52 products! That is right, FIFTY-TWO resources, which currently include 18 FREE resources. Click HERE to check THOSE out!

However, as you know from past posts, I don't want you to take my word for it. I think it is very important to have the input of others who own products from a teacher-author. With 939 teachers having left feedback, you KNOW that this teacher's 4.0/4.0 rating is WELL earned.

Here are just a few comments that were shared recently in her TpT Shop:

Before we end this post, I did want to share a great resource from The Happy Teacher. It is titled End of the Year Essentials and is currently prices at $3.00. Below is a small sampling of what you will find in this great kit. Here is how she describes it:

"This product includes a variety of printables and activities to keep your students engaged

during the last few weeks of school! The activities require no preparation (except making

copies) so you will have a variety of things to choose from during the last few hectic days of

school!"

It is marked for grades K-5, and I think many, if not most of the ideas, can be used even for 6th grade (which is MY grade).

This is the table of contents, all of which you get, for yes..... $3.00.
