This week has been a whirlwind of new and adventurous undertakings. What with hosting the upcoming Summer Blog Book Club (details coming Monday), being invited by a world renowned company to participate in some pretty amazing ways (more details in a couple of weeks), and being in contact with Marjan Glavac, the editor and owner of The Busy Educator.
Mr. Glavac and I met through Linkedin, a great resource that every teacher should have a profile on. I have
had many wonderful opportunities come my way from my connections on that site. Heck, my wife and I even considered moving to the Middle East with our six kids after I was invited to interview for a teaching position there.
Mr. Glavac shared that his newsletter has been running since 1998, which is pretty amazing to me. I have had a chance to browse several editions and I have found many ideas, tips, and resources that made it worth my time.
Subscriptions are free. You can signup HERE. Just use the signup box in the top right corner of the page. You also get 4 free ebooks for signing up. I haven't had a chance to browse those yet, but if they are anything like his newsletters, they will be worth the time as well.
Even more exciting, is that I am being featured today. I was actually quite surprised when I got the email saying he would like to share one of my blog posts. Those things always shock me. If you are like me, you feel that what you put into the blogosphere is mostly just for yourself, and it is always a nice surprise when others want to share it or learn more about you.
