T.G.I.F.

YES! Friday. That actually sounds funny to me now that I have said it. It's summer for crying out loud, lol. However, with the challenge going on and getting up at 6:30am everyday, I have decided that Saturday will be family exercise day and we will all go for a walk in the evening. That way I do have ONE day to sleep in a little bit. (Sunday's have meetings starting at 8am). So yea!

My little Z discovered how to pedal a bike today. He is SO proud of himself. In fact, we had to load his little bike into the back of the trooper and drive up to grandma and grandpa's house so he could show them. What a cutie.

Let's hear a cheer- I wrote TWO, yes count them- TWO papers today for my classes. I also made it through 30 pages in one of the MANY textbooks I have. I know this sounds like whining (and a little bit of it is...) but I am really just trying to candidly show what this program entails. I guess I want to have a journal like experience with the program so that two years from now I can re-read all this and know I am done!

I got all my points today. I even did some jogging this morning. My goal is to complete my walking circuit in 30 minutes. I was a little slow today, so I jogged about 1/4 of the way and made it exactly on time. Drinking the water is no longer a problem. I just drink it all day long. I would say that I am up to about 100 oz. a day, and I am actually thirsty for it. That is a big difference.

Well, now that it is after 11pm, I need to head to bed. Lots going on tomorrow and lots of reading I need to get done.

Oh, we took the baby to the clinic today for the eyes. It WAS pink-eye. I have had it before, it was just worse than this time. Thankfully it is getting better. So is the baby's. Bad news is now my daughter is getting it. :(

Anyways, I think that is all the updates I have for today. Enjoy your weekend.

Read, Read, As Fast As You Can...

OK, so I have read so much that I can't keep the information sorted by class and article/book. I am learning so much and have a lot of processing left to do. I simply hope that I can keep it all together and survive and thrive these next two years. Tomorrow is class again, and I am actually looking forward to going.

As for the Health Challenge, I can tell you that my morning walk was heaven. I loved the solitude and ability to simply go where my feet carried me for 30 minutes. Drinking over 100 oz. of water in one day was really stretch for me, but I was able to keep it down (although I have been using the bathroom non-stop all day!!!), and eating fruits and vegetables has never been a problem. So, for day 1 I was able to total 3/3 points! YEA!

Well, it's late and I have a ton of reading still to do.

Back on Line and Ready to Start

Rain,Rain,Is Here to Stay...

It seems that the rain has decided to make Utah its home for a few days. I won't really complain. We need the moisture and it eases my yard work load. Besides, it sure does keep the air cooler.

Tomorrow is day one of the district health challenge. I may drowned with all the water I have to drink! 1/2 my body weight in oz. - 20% (to account for fruits, etc.). For ME THAT'S A LOT OF WATER!!!!! The exercise and the eating fruits and vegetables I can handle.

It has been a good day. I was able to spend time with my kids, do some church work (Home-Teaching), and visit with my wife. It still doesn't really feel like summer, but I think that will kick in tomorrow when I don't get to go to school. I am looking forward to the summer break once it starts for real in July (that's when my college classes end). I am not sure what kind of break I will get. The baby is due shortly after my classes end. But it's all good. :)

Tomorrow is Memorial day. Don't forget to fly your flag. I better sign off. I need to get to sleep soon so that I can get up and exercise.

Remember to Cheer Me On!
