Pirate Week 2014 Begins

I am SO excited for tomorrow (Monday!) Several amazing things are going to happen this coming week:
1) It is International Speak Like a Pirate Day (which I turn into a week long event). Click HERE and HERE to read about my past pirate weeks. They are so much fun and the kids LOVE IT!

2) Our 4th, 5th, and 6th grade classes are starting what we call Homework Wars! It was an idea that I thought up and our team tweaked to make it work for us. I will tell you more about it later this week after we get it started.

3) I will be returning to Green River to enjoy Melon Days with my parents and friend there. WAHOO!

I would love to hear what YOU are excited about this week. :)

Arrrr! It Be Piratey Week, It Be!

Ahoy Mateys,
It be speakin' like a pirate day soon, and I be gettin' excited about it. The scallywags were a bit rowdy today, they were, and it be drivin' me crazy!

Ok, that was getting too hard to think about what to write and how to say it.
School today was good. Unfortunately I had to leave at lunch time to go to a district training. I went with another teacher. We had a great visit over and back.

I have lots of things I want to say here, but I think I will censor myself at this stage in the game as I know that this site is monitored by LOTS of people! I am thankful for that and I am glad they read my blog.

I also appreciate all the comments that are left by readers. It is fun to have people respond to what is said. My next post will be my 100th post. YEA! I will try to make a GREAT one!

Later...
