And I have to say that it was actually enjoyable (I can't believe that I am admitting that openly) but they did a great job. The acting was actually acting this time. I think the best part of the whole deal was that I was able to spend the entire afternoon and evening with my wife on a date. It has been a very long time since we have had a chance to spend time together. Some friends rode over the Junction with us. We left after school (1:3oish) and spent the afternoon shopping. We were able to get quite a bit of our Christmas shopping done. :) YEA!
At 6pm we meet my wife's sisters and husbands at Olive Garden for dinner. I had a great chicken dinner with mushroom covered mashed potatoes.
From there we headed out to the theater. We ended ip parking three lots away from the building. That was exciting. The next stinky part was when we got to our showing, there weren't any seats together so I had to sit by myself. It wasn't horrible, but I would have enjoyed it more had I been sitting by my wife.
We finally made it home around 12:30am, got our kids from my parents house (thanks mom and dad for watching the kids all afternoon and evening) and came home. Our 2 year was wide awake and wanted to watch AVATAR. So I remember waking up at 3:30am and turning off the DVD player, TV, lamp and going back to sleep- lol
Today was pretty poopy. I spent the entire day at the school getting everything done that I didn't finish yesterday. I got home around 6:30pm, had dinner with the family, watched a lot of Phineas and Ferb (love that show), and now I going to end this so I can play UNO with the two older kids who are still awake. I will fill you in on tomorrow, tomorrow on the LDS Point of View blog.
Later...
I like Phineas and Ferb once in a while - can't tolerate it too long because Candace sounds so much like my daughter that it grates on my nerves. LOL. Anyway, glad you had an enjoyable time and that you did get your stuff done and got to play UNO - love that game and I've been looking at the new version they have out - electronic I think - or something - but my problem is I have no one to play games with - wahhhh :( - my kids aren't into card games or board games and bear doesn't care - so I'm by myself. I think that's why I do an interactive thing for my books to get the kids involved in different types of games and to have fun - lol.
ReplyDeleteMy son saw the movie at a midnight showing but he's not said anything one way or the other about it, nor have his friends. Guess I'll have to probe today and find out if they liked it.
I posted an update to my NaNo words (although the 2106 words weren't on my actual NaNo story, they were done and posted - it felt great to update my words from 1440 to 3546 yesterday - YAY Me!!!!) - Now it's your turn to add some words. I'm going to add some more today after I finish working, will hopefuilly finish #4 so it can get edited by my friend in Tennessee and then to the publisher so it can be edited by them. When it is finished, it's on to starting #5 and maybe some more of Bobby this week (I have a feeling Thursday through next Sunday will be slow workwise for me so won't have anything to do but write, although there is a scene I kept dreaming or seeing last night that I just have to write before I start working today).
Chat later - E :)
