Today I was the recipient of an amazing act of kindness. I am guessing that when the doer of this good deed planted the seed for me, that this person would have no idea the end result. Oh sure, they may have thought that sending a care package would make me smile and feel important. Well, it did. But it goes deeper than that.
When I found the box in my mailbox this morning, I realized something else- and this is the part I am not sure the sender knew about (although this person is pretty amazing and may have realized the outcome), I realized that life is so much better than I tend to notice. That really seems like a small thought to have surface, but I have been in a dark place for so long, that that bit of sunshine was very welcome.
So thank you dear friend, for your thoughtful act of kindness. I hope that I can return the favor one day in the future.
