Share the Wealth Teacher-Author Spotlight- Dragon's Den Curriculum

Welcome back! The first week of August is upon us, and I am freaking out! I start school on the 20th. I am not sure what happened to my Summer! However, it is okay because my teacher genes are kicking in and making me excited to get back in the routine!

I spent the day yesterday working in my room and got my desks set up. WAHOO! All this excitement makes me even MORE excited to have you meet Jan from Dragon's Den Curriculum. I have known Jan for quite sometime. We both started selling on Teachers Pay Teachers about the same time and she has been an inspiration for me!

So, without delay, I would like you to meet Jan.
This is what Jan shared with me about herself:  "Hi all! My name is Jan Bernard and I am a recently retired teacher. I have two great sons named Chris and Jeff, and a husband (Tom) who not only puts up with my hogging the computer (TPT you know!) but is my editor-in-chief as well! I was national certified in 2001, and have written curriculum for American Legacy publishers, Coca Cola and CNN. The Child's World press has published seven of my books which has been a real thrill. There's nothing like putting a book on the shelf that has your own name as the author! I have taught in both Ohio and Georgia, and was lucky to have been chosen the Atlanta Journal and Constitution Honor Teacher finalist for elementary grades, as well as Cobb County's elementary teacher of the year. Writing curriculum is in my blood, and I love the chance to make lessons for TPT teachers. I believe that kids learn best through a story, so many of the products start with a story to grab the attention of students. It's all about 'Putting a little fire in every school day!'"

I just love her slogan" Putting a little fire in every school day!" What a great visual! And did you read that little part about writing curriculum for Coca-Cola and CNN???? HOLY MOLEY!

Here are 9 resources (many are free) that will help you do just that AND give you a taste of just how amazing Jan' resources are.
Check these out:

As you can see, Jan knows how to create engaging and interesting resources that touch on so many subjects, objectives, and learning styles.

Most people say that numbers talk. Well, let the numbers tell you this:
Jan currently has 511 supporters (you might consider becoming one as well)
She has had 1040 votes on her products
Her rating is 4.0/4.0 (WOW!)
AND, she is currently offering 49 resources in her shop (and TEN, yes 10, of them are FREE)

I would say those numbers are sharing a pretty powerful message.

Here is a close up of one of Jan's FREE resources! The title is totally hilarious and SO true for many students. I spent minutes looking at the detailed cover. It totally cracked me up. Oh, and it has been down loaded almost 5,000 times! THAT is huge! Must be useful!

As you can see from the table of contents, this FREE packet is loaded with goodies.

If you have never had an indoor snowball fight in your classroom, you need to download this packet if only for this activity. The kiddos LOVE it so much!

As you can see, there are many activities to help get the kids back in the swing of school thinking. And these are only a small portion of whats in the FREE packet. Click HERE to visit her store and download it.
