Ok, so I totally do NOT miss the single life. I truly do enjoy being married. I miss hearing the kids running around and yelling at each other. I also miss having my wife stick her cold nose in my neck! (Though I can't believe that I am admitting that to anyone).
I made it to my class today. The weather was a bit nasty, but nothing the district car couldn't tackle. Class was long and I had a hard time staying focused. I have a head cold, and today was about more than I could handle. It was nice to have another teacher ride with me. It kept me awake, and we laughed our butts off. Thanks Melinda.
When I got home, I found ALOT of eggs (no, not thrown at) sitting on our porch. Someone had shared them with us. Very thoughtful. Thanks to whom ever it was. After unloading the car with a bazillion bags and getting some Christmas surprises for my wife hidden away, I broke out the wrapping trimmings and most of the gifts for the family and got them wrapped. WOW! Almost 3 hours of straight wrapping. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be and now the tree isn't bare underneath any more. I just hope the baby can keep his little hands off of it!
Monday is going to bring some interesting challenges. I had suggested and talked up changing our school schedule to have the kids have lunch recess then eat. Too many kids are throwing food away so they get out and play longer. This change in the lunch schedule forces an afternoon recess in place of a morning recess. It is going to be interesting, and I am excited to try it out.
Tomorrow is going to be busy and long. Meetings all day. Blah! But, I do enjoy going to church. Well, I need to head home soon. I am at my parents house. I am tired and ready to go home and get ready for bed. I also need to read a chapter in a book we are reading in my EQ Presidency meetings. I better head off.
Happy Holidays,
Later...
Are you sure they weren't thrown at your house? HAHA! Do we need to call you "Mr. McConkie"?!!!
