Well, it has been quite the day to say the least. We made it to Orem in PLENTY of time and my presentation went ok. I don't feel it was my best, but that is okay. Afterwards we headed to Richfield. The car is doing its weird thing again, and so back to the shop it goes. My wife is going to have to borrow my parents Tahoe to make it to her reunion in Vernal. Yipee!
The trip here was very enjoyable. The kids mostly slept, and my wife and I listened to Becoming Naomi Leon by Pam Munoz Ryan . It is a really good story. I like Pam Ryan's writing style. Esperzana Rising a book I read with my students every year. The topics covered (prejudice, hardship, losing all) are themes that 6th graders need to focus on. I can't wait for school to start in August to start giving you insight to what a day in a 6th grade room truly consists of! Hold on yto your hats! Well, we are off to find some dinner. More later...
