-Brilliant! I only get 5 pictures per cartridge, but apparently I do not have enough ink yield?!?!?! Does this person even understand English or this simply a case of cut and paste response.

Oh well. We are buying a HP printer this weekend. Maybe I will shoot a video of my taking a sledge hammer to the Kodak and e-mail THAT to them. Maybe they will get the idea that I don't have ink yield problems- rather I have Kodak printer problems.

  1. HA HA HA! You are so funny, and I feel so bad that you guys have had such horrible problems with your printer. We have had an HP for something like four years now and it is still going strong. The ink is way more expensive, but I honestly can't remember the last time I changed it because it lasts for a long long time. Good luck printer hunting. Have fun!

  2. Yeah, they never did respond to my request for a refund either. They are a rip-off company. I know you will be happier with your new HP - I'm definitely much happier with mine, except when I go to print, it starts up like it's grinding wheels and the same thing when it goes to sleep - goes through this whole process of noises that get kind of irritating but other than that, I've only had to buy ink like three times since I purchased this printer (and that was because I did some heavy printing at the beginning). I was in staples the other day to get something done at the copy center and the manager made note of the fact that I hadn't been in to get ink in a long time (that's how well they had gotten to know me). I do know at one time that Staples was offering a reward on used printers - like Staples Reward points or something - don't know if they still are. You may want to check around to see who is having sales on their printers right now - Staples, Office Depot or Office Max or any of the office supply places in your area - You can usually get a pretty good deal if you catch the printers on sale, and if you can get "rewards" money towards your purchase, that is a bonus (i.e., if you are given like $20 or whatever they are offering, that will actually go towards a discount on your purchase, I think)- good luck finding the right printer - I know how you are feeling; I've been there, did that except mine was the Kodak ESP 5 - stupid printers all around - E :)

  3. John,
Sorry to hear about your bad experience. By "ink yield" they really just mean that you're not getting what you should be out of your cartridges - you definitely should get more than 5 pics! I wanted to check in and let you know this shouldn't be the experience. If you wanted to give it one more shot, you can contact me at connect@kodak.com.

  4. Hilariious! We have a HP photosmart all in one and love it! Good luck with that! By the way, let Alisha know that I will be calling her to order one more set of witch blocks for a friend! She loved mine and wants some of her own!
