10am and still 80degrees F

Howdy,
Last night was long, hot, and miserable. The temperature never dipped below 80. That is a killer. Usually we get down into the 60's, so that was a huge difference. I am outside fighting the gnats and watering out flowerbeds. The sun was behind clouds for about 2 hours, but now it is starting to sneak out. I know, I know. In 6 months I am going to wish that it was summer again. My favorite seasons are Spring and Fall. I love it when the temperature is perfect, the bugs are gone, and it gets dark at a reasonable time. The colors are just starting and it is so peaceful. Makes me remember growing up and loving it when the trees lost their leaves so we could rake them up and jump in them.

I can't believe that tomorrow is Sunday already. We are heading out again tomorrow after Church, back to the Salt Lake area. I have three presentations this week and my wife's reunion (which I have mentioned ALOT in past posts) to enjoy. It should be really fun. I can't say as I will get to do much blogging during that time, but you never know. Our van will hopefully make it where we need to go. I wish the mechanic could just figure it out. Hopefully this $70 sensor we are putting in will fix it.

Oh, yes. I must tell you about the mouse last night. We have had mice in our heating ducts. So I pulled out some old glue traps from when we lived up North. I put one in both kitchen vents since that is where they tend to congregate. We have already caught 2, and I was thinking that maybe we were all done. Last night we are watching TV and we hear this frantic screeching. I looked at my wife and said, "Another Mouse!". I just went back to watching TV for a while. I decided I had better take care of it before we went to bed so I open the vent and low and behold, the glue trap is gone! Uh Oh! (As my baby would say).

Eve'nin Folks!

Hello-
Today was a busy day. We woke up late (YEA!) and took our van down to the shop. The mechanic wasn't in to day, so I left it and asked to have it serviced. The shop called and said that we need new brake pads, the rotors turned (Plus labor on all that), and the oil change. Then we get to hear about the sensor or what ever it is that needs replaced. Oh well, I guess that it what savings is for.
I fought the good fight with the squashbugs and killed off maybe 20 more today. Little buggers. Kids even started helping- They think it is cool to smash them- I think it is kind of gross (they have a stinky smell to them). I went with a memeber of my church to visit some families in our ward, and then I started to water the lawn. It got dark before I got the whole thing watered, but I have a good start for tomorrow. All in all, that was my day. I did get to see "iRobot" on TV today. I like that show a lot (minus the swearing).
I am looking forward to tomorrow and all that I need to do. Until then- signing off...

Good Night Ya'll

Well Friends,
It is midnight and I am going to my nieces baptism tomorrow. It is a 1.5 hour drive to get there. I am glad to be going- I get to bring my son home with me. He has been gone for almost a week and I miss him- ALOT! My wife will be home tomorrow as well (evening-ish)and we will all get to be together again! The van has to go back into the shop but not until Wednesday when we get back from our next CORE tour. We are heading 3 hours north for this stop off. I am going to head home and C-R-A-S-H- these short night and LONG days are kicking me bad. Remember to check out the Podcast and let me know what you think about it-
Until Tomorrow...

Good Morning!

Well, my kids finally went to bed around 1am. We figured that with the heat they wouldn't sleep well anyways, so we let them play. I thought that I wouldn't EVER get up in time to water the rest of the lawn today! But here it is about 7:40am and I have been up and watering for about 20 minutes! The rest of the fam is still alseep. I think the new AC will be fine, it is still fairly toasty in the house, but we are adjusting to it okay. I am hoping to hear about our van today- to see what kind of damage that is going to do to our budget. Oh well!
Tomorrow is go to Colorado and get our shed day! We are looking to buy a 12' x 20' shed for the backyard. We want to store all of our "junk" at our house instead of a storage rental. Well, back to watering. Have a great morning!
